Our 30th Anniversary Annual Rally is planned for July 13 – 17, 2022 and we need to have every MILWIT member possible participate in the event. The WIT Club Grand National Rally is scheduled for July 17 – 21, 2022. These are two separate events but located in the same location. Both events will be at the Forest City Winnebago RV parking area and all reservations for space must be made through the WIT club. Make sure to let them know you want to park with the MILWIT group or they may put you in a location that is very inconvenient. Go to the WIT club website for information on registration for GNR.
Please plan to come to Forest City for the Annual Rally and help us to make it a resounding success. The annual meeting of the club to elect new officers and consider any changes to the by-laws will be held during this Rally. Plans for the MILWIT Annual Rally have not been completed, so at this time cost has not been determined, but should be between $35 and 40 per person. Covid and the lack of income over the last three years have had an impact on our bank account. Please come to the rally for details.
Last year we failed to make a quorum on election day, therefore we did not hold an election. We really need as many members as possible to attend. I have spoken to Denise Hagen and arranged for members to attend the rally even if you are not coming to GNR. You cannot camp on the grounds but you are welcome to drive your toad into the campground and attend our meetings. If you are anywhere near Forest City consider coming even just for one day. Last year we had a number of MILWIT members on the grounds as volunteers. To those of you who volunteer each year, you have my sincerest gratitude. As lifetime members of MILWIT can I please ask that you arrange your volunteer shifts to give you an hour off at noon on Sunday, July 17th to attend our meeting and cast your ballot for new board officers.
